Position Summary : The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture precision aluminium components for the company’s premium window and door suites. This includes interpreting technical drawings, setting up machines, producing components to exact specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The role also involves contributing to process improvements and supporting the manufacturing team to meet production timelines. Key Requirements : Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in aluminium or similar manufacturing environments. Ability to read and interpret technical and architectural drawings. Experience in setting up, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machines. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Understanding of safe work practices and WHS compliance. High attention to detail with a focus on producing quality work. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Job Responsibility : Operate CNC machinery to cut, drill, and mill aluminium profiles according to job specifications. Interpret and follow technical and architectural drawings with a focus on accuracy and detail. Set up, program, and adjust CNC machinery for different production runs. Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure finished components meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance. Identify and report recurring production or equipment issues to supervisors for resolution. Follow safe work practices at all times, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements. Record and maintain accurate job data, production outputs, and quality reports. Assist with general manufacturing tasks as required, particularly during periods of high demand.
