The Role As a Personal Care Assistant you will provide person-centered support in clients’ homes and in the community. Shifts are casual with flexible scheduling to meet changing client needs. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, household tasks, medication prompts, social engagement and dementia-aware support strategies. Regular travel within the region is required to meet clients where they live. Key Responsibilities Deliver respectful personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming. Assist with mobility and transfers using safe manual handling techniques. Provide dementia-aware support focused on calming, orientation and maintaining routine. Support participation in community activities and social outings. Perform light household tasks and meal support to maintain safe living environments. Follow care plans, document observations and communicate changes to the care team. Adhere to infection control, privacy and safety protocols at all times. What We’re Looking For Experience supporting clients with dementia and diverse support needs. Current National Police Check and up-to-date clearances. Valid drivers licence: International, Full Australian or P1 Provisional accepted. Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel across Dubbo and surrounds. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; Italian language skills are highly regarded. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, adapt to change and follow care plans precisely.
