Gold Coast Gymnastics Club needs an experienced and passionate coach WAG High Performance Coach position with a proven record of developing WAG gymnasts to international representation. This role is pivotal in the next stage of our strategic direction, and the successful candidate will coach a squad of WAG elite high-performance gymnasts across our two venues located on the Gold Coast, Queensland. ROLE OVERVIEW An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced, passionate Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) High Performance Coach. Gold Coast Gymnastics Club is one of Queensland and Australia’s largest clubs with close to 4000 members and operates across two venues in the region with venues in Miami and Coomera. The Club is engaging on an exciting new era of expanding our elite program and features world class facilities and equipment and offers a rewarding and incentivised place of work. In line with the goals of the strategic plan, the club is seeking an experienced WAG High Performance Coach to coach a squad of elite gymnasts across the four WAG apparatus to international representation. The club achieved competitive success in 2025 at both a national and international level including Australian Team representation at the 2025 World Championships. There is opportunity to build on the strong foundation of the club’s large recreational program. The successful candidate will work in an experienced coaching team coaching a squad of WAG Junior & Senior International level gymnasts, develop and implement their training programs and create routines for elite gymnasts, with a particular focus on artistry on beam and floor. You must have demonstrated experience in coaching WAG gymnasts to compete in international competitions, confidence with communicating with parents; program and planning skills across a wide level of competitive gymnasts; and computer systems skills. Qualifications and experience requirements: Minimum FIG 3 Academy Coach, preferably FIG Coach Brevet Cert IV or equivalent in a relevant field, or at least 3 years’ experience in lieu of qualifications Demonstrated experience coaching WAG elite high-performance gymnasts to World Championships level Demonstrated experience working in a team environment Demonstrated experience and confidence in communicating with parents and members Success in building a high-performance culture and experience delivering change through influence, innovation and tested techniques Current First Aid & CPR qualifications Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check (mandatory) ABOUT GOLD COAST GYMNASTICS CLUB Club Mission: To help every gymnast achieve their potential, from participation to performance.
