POSITION: LEAD EDUCATOR (CHILD CARE GROUP LEADER) Salary: $68,000 to $78,000 pa Full - time ABOUT THIS ROLE: Be responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff within your team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children In the absence of the Director/Nominated Supervisor undertake responsibilities as per the Responsible Person policy and procedure for the day-to-day management of the Service. JOB DESCRIPTION: Contribute to a friendly centre environment, where children feel safe and families feel welcome. Develop strong relationships with children at the service and ensure they have a sense of belonging. Assist in ensuring exciting and stimulating learning environments (which will be supervisor by team leaders and educators), by setting up activities and cleaning away materials and supplies. Recognise and cater for unique interests, needs or abilities of children. Manage daily care routines. Supervise and entertain children. Comply with the service’s policies and procedures. Help keep the learning environment clean, hygienic and safe. QUALIFICATIONS : Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or; Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) or; Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training Valid Working with Children Check Accredited Child Protection Training SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : Previous experience in a leadership role Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018). 2. POSITION: ASSISTANT EDUCATOR (CHILD CARE WORKER) Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 pa Full - time ABOUT THIS ROLE: Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the Lead Educator to provide a high quality program for all children Assist with the smooth running of the room in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures under the direction of the Lead Educator. JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist Team Leader with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate education and care programs for individual children and groups, including children with special needs. Ensure all day-to-day activities are delivered consistently and in accordance with the requirements of the National Quality Framework. Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes Under direction, work with individual children with special needs Monitor and assist with daily routines including children’s’ arrivals, departures, eating, sleeping, cleaning up and meals Ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing is maintained at all times Willingly follow directions from the team leader, assistant director and/or director as required Actively participate in team meetings and be willing to undertake professional development opportunities. POSITION: OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR (GENERAL CLERK) Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 pa Full - time JOB DESCRIPTION: promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people by adopting and adhering to the National Principles of Child Safe Organisations ensure compliance as a mandated reporter in accordance with the service Child Protection policy and procedures assist the Nominated Supervisor to comply with child protection in the workplace inform the Nominated Supervisor of all allegations or convictions of a child protection nature against an employee, of which you become aware recognise and report misconduct, illegal or inappropriate behaviour to the Nominated Supervisor ensure a high standard of hygiene in compliance with procedures and policies report any repairs and maintenance required to the Nominated Supervisor ensure effective processes are followed to meet WHS requirements maintain the aesthetics of the environment and ensure all resources and equipment are respected and maintained at the service report any situation that may constitute a hazard to health and safety to children, families, educators, staff or visitors to the Nominated Supervisor always act within the guidelines set out in the Code of Ethics (Early Childhood Australia Inc.) ensure administration tasks are completed to meet the needs of the LDC service in accordance with the National Regulations and National Quality Framework contribute positively and effectively to the team environment to ensure smooth operation of the service promote a healthy team environment and develop positive channels of communication QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1 year’ experience in a Admin position in an Early Childhood Service Certificate III in Early Childhood or equivalent Valid Working with Children Check clearance 4. POSITION: COOK/CHEF Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 pa Full - time JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepare and cook nutritious meals that are culturally appropriate for children 0-6 years, in a timely manner that fits the Service’s routines Collaborate with the Director/ Nominated Supervisor, educators, parents and health professionals to plan and prepare meals for the children. Provide for/or supplement alternative foods/beverages for children with allergies. Ensure food handling standards and quality guidelines are adhered to at all times as per food handling guidelines Ensure that all food is stored in compliance with Health Regulations. Evaluate the menu on a regular basis in collaboration with children, families, educators, Director/ Nominated Supervisor and health practitioners Operate mixers, ovens, choppers, shredders, steamers, grills, grinders, steam kettles, fry kettles, and other food equipment in accordance with operating guidelines QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Cook position in an Early Childhood Service/ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Cook position Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or; Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or; Certificate in Safe Food Handling or; Certificate in Menu Planning or; Certificate in Nutrition or equivalent Valid Working with Children Check clearance SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook within an Early Childhood Service or minimum 5 years’ experience with food handling/service Proven ability in all areas of cookery including menu planning, meeting nutritional guidelines, working within budgets Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation Demonstrated knowledge of food handling guidelines.
