This position is located in: Kogarah Registered Nurse Location: Kogarah Employment Type: Part-time & Casual About the role As a Registered Nurse you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive resident experience and lead our care team to deliver safe and effective both consumer choice and clinical care to our residents. You have a passion for enhancing the lives of older people and an understanding the needs of people living with dementia. Collaborating closely with our care team, this position entails ensuring that our residents receive the care they need with dignity, respect and involving them in all decisions about their health. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and high-quality care aligned with Aged Care Quality Standards, thorough documentation, and promoting a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee services to maintain a home-like environment for Residents Conduct accurate and comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of Residents’ clinical care requirements Prepare care plans, clinical care and AN-ACC documentation Conduct audits of care plans, clinical care and AN-ACC to identify areas of concern and ensure that measures are taken to address any gaps. Observe Care Staff clinical abilities and provide education when appropriate Report to the Care Manager in relation to clinical care issues including care plans, clinical care and AN-ACC gaps and quality improvement outcomes. Assist with Resident admissions (specifically clinical assessments), retention, return and discharge Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in nursing Current Registration with AHPRA Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting Excellent clinical knowledge Experience and ability to coordinate services, supervise staff as well in charge experience Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as the confidence to work independently Current First Aid & CPR We offer Additional incentives for our Night Shift Registered Nurses including additional loading, snacks and vouchers Be part of a warm, friendly team that genuinely cares about you and your wellbeing.
