Employer: Scenic Rim Farmers Market Location: 40 William St, Beaudesert, QLD 4285 Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $78,000-$80,000 superannuation About the role Scenic Rim Farmers Market is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales performance, maintain high presentation standards, and deliver outstanding customer service in a busy fresh-produce environment. Key responsibilities ·Plan, organise, and oversee the daily operations of the fruit and vegetable retail store to ensure smooth and efficient trading. ·Supervise, train, roster, and manage retail staff to maintain high standards of customer service, productivity, and workplace conduct. ·Manage stock control and inventory, including ordering fresh produce, monitoring stock levels, implementing rotation systems, and minimising wastage and shrinkage. ·Oversee quality control of fresh produce, ensuring products meet presentation, freshness, and food safety standards at all times. ·Plan and implement effective merchandising and display strategies to maximise sales, seasonal promotions, and visual appeal. ·Develop and monitor pricing strategies, weekly specials, and promotional activities in line with market trends and business objectives. ·Liaise with suppliers, growers, and wholesalers, including negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and resolving quality or supply issues. ·Monitor sales performance, prepare basic reports, and assist in managing budgets to improve profitability and operational efficiency. ·Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and retail compliance obligations . ·Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally to maintain a positive shopping experience and strong community reputation. Requirements Proven experience managing a retail store of (retail/fresh produce/grocery/ supermarket experience preferred). Strong leadership, staff management, and customer service skills Solid understanding of stock control, ordering, wastage management, and merchandising Qualification & Experience Requirements: Minimum Diploma in Business Administration (or higher qualification in a related field). At least 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Retail Manager or in a closely related role.
