We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Motel Manager to join the team on a full-time, fixed-term contract for three months (non-ongoing) . This role is critical in overseeing day-to-day motel operations, including front office and reservations, housekeeping standards, guest relations, staff leadership, and coordination with on-site facilities to ensure the overall guest experience aligns with Black Gold Motel’s commitment to comfort, consistency, and exceptional service . Location : 121 Main St, Wallerawang NSW 2845, Australia Annual Salary - $75000-$78000AUD Key Responsibilities : Oversee day-to-day motel operations, ensuring smooth front office, housekeeping, and guest service delivery. Manage reservations, check-ins/check-outs, guest enquiries, and handle complaints professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and room readiness through coordination with housekeeping and maintenance teams. Supervise, train, and roster staff to ensure adequate coverage and consistent service standards. Monitor property upkeep and coordinate repairs, maintenance schedules, and supplier/contractor works as needed. Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety, licensing requirements, and internal operating procedures. Support budgeting and cost control by monitoring expenses, ordering supplies, and reducing wastage where possible. Prepare operational reports (occupancy, revenue, guest feedback) and communicate updates to owners/management. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in motel/hotel or accommodation operations (front office, housekeeping coordination, or duty management). Strong understanding of reservations systems and property operations (PMS experience preferred). Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team, including training, rostering, and performance support. Excellent customer service skills, with confidence handling guest concerns and resolving issues calmly. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of compliance obligations including WHS, hygiene/cleanliness standards, and basic employment practices. Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
