YOUR NEW ROLE In this KEY PIVOTAL role, reporting to being mentored by a high profile Principal (an outstanding ‘holistic’ personal injury lawyer), you will enjoy the challenge satisfaction of doing justice for your plaintiff clients focusing mainly on WorkCover/Workers Compensation ( approx 70%) and CTP/motor vehicle accidents (approx 30%) plus potential to do some PIPA and/or TPD (if you desire some variety in the future). You will be actively managing your own files from A to Z (with back-up mentorship as required) including: initial client consults, assessing advising on viability/quantum/liability of the claim, preparing legal/court documents, liaising with medical professionals/insurers/solicitors/3rd-parties, briefing barristers/medio-legal experts, attending court hearings/settlement mediation conferences. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: Are an admitted lawyer (or graduate soon to be admitted); Have minimum 1 year hands-on experience (preferably more) in personal injury law (preferably plaintiff, open to defendant) including WorkCover/Workers Compensation (essential) actively engaging in file management from start to finish and preferably also CTP/motor vehicle accidents cases; Have solid understanding of the workers compensation process/procedures across the ‘life-cycle’ of the claim (essential) litigation experience and working knowledge of UCPR (Uniform Civil Procedure Rules); Are a proactive SELF-STARTER, thrive in a busy fast-paced role and can handle pressure and meet deadlines; Have strong analytical and legal drafting communication skills; Are a strong team player, love practising personal injury law helping your clients; Are ambitious and committed to your career success with an outstanding personal injury firm that is committed to investing in you….long-term!
