YOUR NEW ROLE In this key hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Head of Operations you will be leading a team of 3 in the critically important Patent Docketing division which manages the input/changes/maintenance of client and case records and ownership transfers of Australian/NZ patent and designs. You will relish the challenge and satisfaction: Overseeing the management of the Patent Docketing inbox; Handling clients’ enquiries relating to cost estimates; Allocating work & resources/overseeing performance of your team to ensure effective operation of the docketing function for the firm; Training/new staff, mentoring team and handling any grievances; Trouble-shooting & solving any system/operations issues; Generating relevant reports for internal patent professionals; Filing and reporting patent/design ownership changes and providing confirmation documents to clients/associates; Any adhoc projects. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: Are an experienced Intellectual Property/Patents administrator/secretary/manager with minimum 4 years (or more-very seniors welcome) experience in intellectual property including patents (essential); Have specifically had experience with patent docketing with solid understanding of the patent operations process; Have outstanding communication, people/leadership skills and proven ability to effectively manage multiple different stakeholders (internal and external); Are IT/systems savvy and a proven problem-solver. are committed to furthering your own SUCCESS to the MAX with a 1st-Class employer of choice .
