As a Lead Frontend Engineer at Winning Group, you’ll be a key technical leader driving the continued evolution, optimisation, and architectural direction of our high-performing e-commerce platforms. You’ll lead major frontend initiatives, guide a talented cross-functional squad, and ensure the delivery of seamless, pixel-perfect digital experiences across some of Australia’s most visited retail websites. As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you'll: Lead and actively facilitate Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Drive and contribute to peer code reviews, championing coding standards and best practices Collaborate closely with Product to clarify complex requirements Partner strategically with QA to ensure rigorous testing Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, supporting both technical and professional growth Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement Lead planning and estimation of large-scale frontend initiatives Provide expert-level effort estimates for sprint planning and roadmap forecasting Develop features aligned with detailed UX specifications Deliver responsive, cross-device, cross-browser UI solutions Write and oversee comprehensive unit and integration tests Design and maintain reusable, scalable UI component libraries Continuously improve frontend architecture and engineering processes Maintain detailed system documentation aligned with evolving features Champion ongoing upskilling and technology adoption within the team Participate in structured feedback loops to elevate team performance Act as the primary point of contact for assigned frontend initiatives Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders You'll have - 6 years of professional web development experience, including senior/lead frontend roles Proven track record delivering large-scale frontend projects Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience Strong understanding of the full SDLC within Agile/Scrum environments Expert experience with a leading frontend framework (Angular 2 highly regarded) Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), JavaScript (ES6), and TypeScript Deep understanding of modular design, architectural patterns, and state management (e.g., NgRx) Strong expertise in responsive and cross-browser UI development Experience building reusable, testable components with robust unit/integration testing Advanced experience using Jira and Git Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and CI/CD pipelines Outstanding communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capability Highly collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
