Our client, a successful, highly respected, local residential construction company based in Newcastle is looking for a Sales Consultant to join their team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position will play a key role in the customer journey, liaising with potential clients and confidently guiding them from enquiry through to commitment. About the Role As the Sales Consultant, you will be proactive in engaging with potential customers from warm, inbound enquiries, to understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that offer genuine value. You will help clients bring their projects to life with our range of designs and your ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships. To succeed in this role, you will be motivated, goal oriented and have a consultative selling approach. Responsibilities of this role will include: Responding to company supplied sales-related leads in a timely manner. Providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients, while building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Communicating with prospective customers, setting up appointments, attending prospective sites, and providing tailored solutions Participating in the implementation and execution of strategic business plans and sales strategies. Active contribution to realistic sales forecasts and interpreting basic financial sales-related reports. Track and manage all leads/sales contacts and progress of sales in the CRM database (Hubspot) Achieving sales targets and KPI’s Maintaining up to date knowledge of SEPP (ARH) codes and legislation. Preparing and sending quotes ensuring satisfactory margins. About You With a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience, you will use your active listening and problem-solving skills to interpret clients needs, with the ability to drive the sales process from initial contact to close. You will also have: Previous experience as a Sales Consultant - preferably project sales (Ideally from a construction/new home background however not essential) Qualification in Business, Marketing or related field is desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and contribute to the basic financial sales-related reports and forecasts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-managed personality with a proactive approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask, follow up on changes and additional requests, while keeping the customer engaged.
