About the Role Business Development Manager to drive growth in the food and nutrition sector. This role is perfect for a commercially minded professional with technical expertise who thrives on building strong customer relationships and uncovering new opportunities. As a key member of our team, you will manage and expand a portfolio supporting their product development needs while introducing innovative ingredient solutions. You’ll combine technical know-how with strategic sales to help customers solve formulation challenges and achieve growth targets. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the ingredients and nutrition sectors Act as the technical point of contact for customers, supporting formulation, application, and product selection Work closely with suppliers to bring new ingredients and solutions to market Identify new business opportunities within existing and new customers Support the sales team with product knowledge, customer training, and technical presentations Conduct customer visits to understand product needs, challenges, and innovation plans Provide market feedback on trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements Assist with product launches, trials, and technical documentation Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings Work collaboratively with sales, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure customer success About You 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales, account management, or applications within food ingredients, nutrition, or specialty ingredients Strong understanding of food formulation, functional ingredients, or nutritional products Commercially minded with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities Confident working with customers in a technical and consultative capacity Strong communication and presentation skills Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related discipline preferred
