The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial performance at site level, delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting, and supporting operational decision-making through robust budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Remuneration & Benefits $160,000 – $170,000 base salary Super 20% performance bonus $5,000 annual private health insurance contribution (with Medibank) Five weeks annual leave Three weeks personal leave Rewards Saver Program Fitness subsidies Relocation assistance available Key Responsibilities Lead the site accounting function, including oversight of personnel, systems and service delivery Prepare periodic management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis Provide financial information required for site Financial Statements and Group Reporting Develop and maintain effective financial systems and processes Manage forecasting and budgeting processes, including detailed variance analysis Support site expenditure governance and cost management initiatives Partner with operational leadership to deliver meaningful financial insights Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business CPA or CA accreditation preferred Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industry accounting environments (desired) Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, cost control and performance reporting Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems Advanced analytical and financial management skills Ability to communicate effectively across site operations and corporate stakeholders Proven leadership capability and collaborative approach This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior accounting professional seeking both career advancement and a considered lifestyle change within a respected and people-focused organisation.
