Description The Quantity Surveyor will manage all costs related to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, responsible for estimating and monitoring project costs, ensuring value for money, preparing tender documents, conducting cost analysis, and managing all financial aspects of the project with a focus on minimising project costs and enhancing value. This role will be based onsite in Cloncurry which offers FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville or DIDO locally, with local candidates highly regarded. Our roster is 14 days on, 7 days off. With commencement in our Brisbane office for training and initial integration into the project team. This is a maximum term role aligned with the project completion and close out, anticipated to be 31 December 2027. Responsibilities Develop a Site Quantity Survey process and procedure including Contractor Invoice Claim Review, Contractor Progress Validation, Contractor Performance management Reporting, site estimation and input into change management. Review of Contractor Timesheet, compare to gate data and attendance register and ensure it align to invoice claim. Examine all submitted invoices for accuracy and verify alignment with the contract terms regarding costs and any changes that may have occurred during the project. Conduct regular site inspections and validate all items installed. Utilise software, Drawing and Models to validate quantity installed. Attend weekly progress meetings with contractor. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a specific Quantity Surveyors role Tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, engineering, project management or related discipline. High levels of computer literacy including enterprise resource planning and reporting systems like Pronto, Bower BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite. Prior experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry. Strong organisational, analytical, and writing skills and ability to meet deadlines Self-disciplined and self-motivated and have the ability to comprehend extensive construction operations and schedules.
