About the role Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a seasoned Light Vehicle Mechanic to step into a senior position within a trusted independent workshop, focusing exclusively on light vehicles. If you're a skilled mechanic who enjoys both solving complex mechanical problems and mentoring others, this could be the rewarding, no-nonsense role you've been waiting for. Duties Take charge of full diagnostics, repairs and servicing on all makes and models of light vehicles – routine jobs through to the most complex fault-finding and intricate repairs Step up as the senior mentor: guide, train and build confidence in our young, enthusiastic team Handle the challenging, high-skill work that customers rely on us for – no job too tricky Help keep our spotless, well-equipped workshop running smoothly and efficiently Collaborate closely with our hands-on workshop manager to deliver top service and keep customers coming back Skills and experience Fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or recognised equivalent) 10 years proven hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing a broad range of modern light vehicles Strong diagnostic skills and real confidence tackling complex, intricate repairs independently Demonstrated mentoring ability – experience training apprentices, juniors or less experienced tradespeople Excellent organisation, time management and calm-under-pressure approach to keep workflow moving Solid communication skills and a genuine customer-first mindset Current Australian driver’s license (and any relevant trade certifications) Benefits $80k-$100k salary (dependent on experience) 20 days annual leave 6 RDOs per year On-site parking, fuel benefits and additional incentives Stable hours with overtime available and no weekend work How to Apply If you are interested in joining a successful business for this fantastic full-time position, please send us your resume today.
