We require the services of experienced Marine/Vessel painter specialising in Commercial, Industrial marine vessels and infrastructure. These are full time positions in the ship refit and maintenance environment for the right candidates. Site location is Brisbane south side within the Port of Brisbane limits. You will be required to: - Painting vessels using spray guns, airless sprayers. - Priming surfaces to create a waterproof barrier - Applying high gloss finishes - Preparing surfaces by sanding, abrasive blasting you will be sand blasting marine vessels and infrastructure, so experience is necessary. - Applying rust proofing chemicals, marine grade epoxy fillers, Antifouling - Colour matching paints as per specifications from client - Removing old, toxic anti fouling or failing paint coatings using solvents or heat The successful applicants should possess: - Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology specialising in Marine or Equivalent - Experience using Marine/Vehicle spray painting equipment to a high standard - Experience using sand blasting equipment - Attention to Detail Desirable attributes are: · Available for an immediate start · Own reliable transport · Ability to work weekends as needed · Confined Space Qualifications, Yellow Card EWP License, Forklift License is highly regarded. Shift hours are: Monday to Friday 0500 to 1300 Saturdays as required 0500 to 1300
