About the Role We are seeking a Trade Assistant join our clients manufacturing team, specialising in the production of elevator components such as Car Operating Panels and Landing Control Stations . This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, where quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement are key. Comprehensive training will be provided , making this an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills within a specialised industry. Key Responsibilities Assemble elevator components, including car operating panels and landing control stations. Program display units with correct backgrounds and floor information in accordance with standard procedures. Accurately record time spent on projects to support cost tracking and reporting. Deliver and collect materials or finished products as required. Operate CNC equipment such as laser cutters, routers, and plotters. Conduct daily equipment start-ups and plant inspections, including basic troubleshooting and monitoring. Contribute to projects focused on improving production efficiency and reducing costs. Assist with plant and equipment maintenance when required. Monitor and document production output to ensure quality standards are met. Support internal inspections and audits. Complete occasional overtime in line with operational requirements. Skills, Experience & Requirements Experience with electrical component assembly and wiring (Extra Low Voltage circuits). Ability to read and interpret assembly and wiring diagrams. Experience in quality inspection, testing, or auditing processes. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Metalworking experience. Current motor vehicle licence. Personal Attributes Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good planning, organisational, and time-management abilities. Practical problem-solving skills and sound decision-making. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing competing priorities.
