About the Role This role sits within the HR advisory function of Avant Business Solutions. It provides broad HR generalist support across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on partnering with healthcare clients, primarily medical practices and small businesses, based throughout Australia. You will help healthcare clients achieve strong business outcomes across key areas such as compliance, recruitment, performance management, remuneration, culture, workforce planning, learning and development, organisation design, employee relations, and mediation. You will also support strategic initiatives and contribute to the design and continuous improvement of Avant Business Solutions HR Advisory services, ensuring processes are safe, sustainable, and scalable. In this role, you will help foster a positive, collaborative, and continuously improving culture while delivering practical HR solutions tailored to the needs of healthcare and small business environments. Key Accountabilities HR Advisory Support organisational reviews and provide guidance to managers across diverse client groups Review HR policies and procedures for Fair Work compliance Conduct HR gap analyses Provide recruitment support including job ads, position descriptions and onboarding Advise on performance management and conduct workplace investigations Provide wages and award interpretation Manage offboarding and terminations Support restructures and redeployment processes Develop L&D resources Promote and grow HR Advisory services Participate in scoping calls with potential clients Build relationships to support the growth of Avant Business Services Work closely with the broader business services team to provide general HR advice Contribute to a respectful, collaborative culture and promote continuous improvement Continuous Quality Improvement & Risk Management Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and compliance requirements Participate in quality improvement initiatives Ensure confidentiality and privacy at all times Workplace Health & Safety Ensure safe work practices and compliance with all relevant WHS legislation and internal policies General Actively contribute to the growth of HR Services Support and promote Avant Business Services Preferred Capabilities (Qualifications, Experience & Skills) Minimum 7 years generalist HR experience Experience in HR within healthcare (preferred) Tertiary qualifications in HR Strong communication skills, written and verbal Ability to collaborate, influence and build relationships High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Professional, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality Confident communicating across all levels of an organisation Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused Ability to work independently with a strategic mindset Commitment to ongoing professional development Strong customer service focus Experience managing performance issues and grievances Proficient with Microsoft Office Effective problem-solving, planning and organisational skills Experience in facilitation and change management Strong work ethic and ability to provide constructive feedback Ability to contribute to the development of HR processes and services If this role sounds like the one you have been looking for and you are ready to hit the ground running, please apply now.
