About the Role This is a unique opportunity to join our National Response Centre , working onsite from our premium-grade CBD Bourke Street office. As a Response Officer , you’ll play a critical role in supporting the communities where our customers operate. Working in a fast‑paced, high‑impact response environment, you’ll deliver calm, accurate and professional support across essential services including Water and Energy providers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys variety, and can confidently pivot from call to call while meeting strict response timeframes, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations. Key Responsibilities Accurately capture and record call information across multiple systems for dispatcher use Manage inbound emergency, non‑emergency, fault, safety and welfare monitoring calls Process event updates and maintain real‑time status information Dispatch service orders within regulatory and contractual timeframes Escalate incidents with potential to breach performance measures or escalate in risk Deliver an exceptional customer experience while living our Values & Behaviours What You’ll Bring Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster (8‑hour shifts between 6am–midnight, Monday–Sunday, including public holidays) Confidence working across multiple systems simultaneously with strong data accuracy Ability to remain calm, composed and effective in a high‑pressure response environment Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail A proactive, resilient and solution‑focused mindset with a positive “can‑do” attitude Accountability for your performance, development and contribution to the team Experience in emergency dispatch or response environments is desirable but not essential.
