About the Job About the role The Public Transport Authority is seeking an organised, detail‑focused individual to join the Security Branch in a pivotal administrative and rostering role. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining operational rosters for Transit Officers and Security Branch personnel, ensuring staffing levels meet operational requirements across the Urban Rail Network. Working within established guidelines, industrial agreements and workplace instructions, the role assigns staff to roster links and cycles, adjusts rosters for absences, training and special events, and ensures overtime is managed and distributed appropriately. In addition to rostering, the role provides essential administrative and human resources support, including entering and processing payroll data, maintaining accurate records, coordinating leave rosters, and responding to HR‑related enquiries. The successful applicant will work closely with the Personnel Officer and Transit Managers to resolve operational staffing issues, produce statistical reports and contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of Security Branch rostering practices. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to supporting the effective delivery of security services across the network. About you To be successful in this role you will: - Have considerable experience preparing timesheets and multi‑level staff rosters for large and diverse teams, along with strong knowledge in interpreting and applying Industrial Awards and Agreements relating to payroll and employment conditions. Bring well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with staff, stakeholders and management in a fast‑paced operational environment. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to assess issues, determine practical solutions and maintain accuracy under pressure.
