The Commercial Manager will contribute to operational excellence within Fremantle Ports, as aligned with the Strategic Plan. A seasoned leader with extensive experience in stakeholder management at a senior level, to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results. Role Highlights Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial, the Commercial Manager’s focus on the efficient management of existing, and the development of new, valuable relationships, contracts, negotiations and supply chain solutions, with Fremantle Ports customers. The Commercial Manager is responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to: Ensuring commercial contracts are established, effective and managed with appropriate contracts and documentation in place. Complex contract negotiations with external customers and stakeholders including stevedores, towage service providers, container park service providers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and customers. Managing the development, analysis, monitoring and continuous improvement of commercial contracts and reporting metrics to facilitate consistency, effectiveness and efficiency of Fremantle Ports. Customer contract management, performance and compliance throughout their lifecycle. Establishing and executing strategies to support customer relationships so that the Commercial Team delivers experiences that exceed our customer expectations and ensure relationships and contracts effectively support Fremantle Ports. What Makes You a Great Fit You will bring a relevant tertiary qualification or 6–8 years of experience in a similar field, supported by highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and influence effectively across a broad range of stakeholders. With strong commercial acumen, you are confident in optimising commercial value, identifying opportunities for improvement across the value chain and supporting both new business and organic growth. You have extensive experience in contract management and a solid professional understanding of commercial principles, including working knowledge of key contractual terms and conditions. Your background includes contract development and management, along with a practical understanding of project management principles. You are an excellent written communicator, skilled in preparing clear and accurate contractual notices and commercial documentation. Your strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities allow you to navigate complex issues with confidence.
