XY International Trading Pty Ltd, established in 2020, imports quality food, beverages, and daily essentials from China for Australian supermarkets. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, suppliers, logistics, and inventory, while optimising processes and implementing cost-saving strategies to support our growing business. Roles and Responsibilities: ·Monitor the performance of the procurement function and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. ·Undertake market research to determine customer demands and consumer patterns. ·Obtain information and data from suppliers, the internal team, overseas factories, and logistics partners to update and manage relevant information. ·Establish procurement strategies and set up budgets. ·Liaise with the director and sales team on the confirmation of purchase requests from local supermarkets and prioritised purchasing activities. ·Compare and select appropriate suppliers for purchase requests, work out alternatives wherever required. ·Implement contract strategy and evaluate and negotiate offers. ·Manage procurement activities from order, to sourci.ng, international transportation, custom clearances, and until local delivery. ·Elaborate and implement cost saving and reduction strategies. ·Oversee the management and control of the company’s inventory. ·Manage documentation flows including purchasing orders, invoicing and billing, required schedules, shipment status, cots associated. Required Qualification and Experience ·Bachelor's degree or above in Business or equivalent. ·At least 3 years’ working experience in a relevant role. Key Knowledge Areas ·Knowledge of Australian health and safety regulations for imported food. ·Knowledge of business and management principles. ·Knowledge of economic and managerial principles and practices. ·Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology. ·Basic understanding of e-commerce in China. Essential Capabilities ·The ability to gather and analyse data and information. ·Solid judgment with ability to make sound decisions. ·Good planning and numeracy skills. ·Sensitivity on custom regulations. ·Excellent interpersonal skills. ·Must be punctual, organised, motivated and detail oriented. ·Be fluent in English and Mandarin.
