Join the collaborative and student-centred Student Journey and Engagement team Coordinate engaging events, communications and support initiatives that impact the student experience 1 Full-Time Continuing and 2 x 12-month Fixed Term (0.8FTE Part-time and Full-Time) $103,185 Base 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking a passionate and proactive Student Journey and Engagement Coordinator to help design and deliver impactful student life programs that support students across every stage of their journey. Based within the Division of Students at University of Sydney, this is a diverse, hands-on role that plays a key part in coordinating initiatives across welcome events, international student support, transition and engagement programs and financial support. You will work closely with faculties, schools, professional service units and student groups to deliver programs that are inclusive, data-informed and aligned to University strategy. Guided by the Student Journey and Engagement leadership team, you will use insights from student co-design and analytics to shape initiatives that respond to real student needs. Why join us? contribute directly to programs that improve student success, belonging and wellbeing work across a wide range of cohorts and initiatives collaborate with committed, student-focused colleagues build your skills through exposure to strategy, data-informed planning and cross-University projects Your key responsibilities will include: coordinating the delivery of student life events aligned to the student journey, including cohort welcomes and large-scale activations contributing to communications and engagement materials and activities, including preparing and delivering presentations, maintaining website material and coordinating social media, to raise awareness of support programs coordinating financial support processes, including supporting students with applications and undertaking assessment supporting triage by responding to enquiries and referring students to appropriate services collaborating with managers and teams across the Division of Students to deliver initiatives building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicating key messages to students participating in open days and information sessions maintaining awareness of ESOS compliance requirements related to student support monitoring changes in assistance programs and recommending improvements to support schemes analysing student data and feedback to inform outreach and program design About you strong experience delivering large-scale student-facing events, using digital and in-person models and working with third-party providers and internal stakeholders skills in communications, engagement and public speaking excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with tact and discretion in sensitive matters proven history in wellbeing promotion, student advising or student support services cultural awareness and experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders in medium to large organisations strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and delivery high-quality work to deadlines experience interpreting policy and assessing impacts on student initiatives.
