You will ensure Fluid Bed operations remain compliant with GMP standards, audit-ready and operating at peak performance. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Utilities and QA to resolve complex equipment issues, support validation activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role suited to an experienced maintenance professional with strong mechanical, electrical and process fault-finding capability in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Fluid Bed & Process Equipment Specialist Focus • Perform maintenance, servicing and advanced troubleshooting of Glatt Fluid Bed Dryers/Granulators (e.g. GPCG, WSG or equivalent systems) • Maintain and troubleshoot process air systems, filters, bag assemblies, WIP/CIP systems and control panels • Support process optimisation including airflow, spray systems, temperature control and drying parameters • Ensure correct operation of dust extraction systems, explosion protection controls and safety interlocks • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime • Deliver responsive breakdown support to maximise plant uptime Engineering & Compliance • Execute preventive maintenance activities in line with GMP and validated asset requirements • Support validation activities. • Participate in deviation investigations and perform structured root cause analysis • Maintain audit readiness in support of TGA, FDA and other regulatory inspections • Maintain plant, equipment and site utilities interface systems (compressed air, HVAC, process services) • Support engineering upgrades, capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives • Recommend plant reliability improvements and lifecycle asset strategies • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, GMP requirements and site safety standards • Collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Utilities and QA teams to resolve complex production challenges What You’ll Bring • Trade qualification – Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Engineering (dual trade advantageous) • Extensive experience within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments • Strong hands-on experience with Fluid Bed technology (Glatt systems highly regarded) • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, process-critical production equipment • Experience working within validated GMP environments and documentation control systems • Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar) • Solid understanding of process utilities integration (compressed air, HVAC, dust extraction) • Experience supporting regulatory audits (TGA, FDA or equivalent) • Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices • Ability to work autonomously while effectively engaging cross-functional stakeholders Why You’ll Love Working With Us At Mayne Pharma, we provide a collaborative, stable and safety-focused environment where your expertise genuinely matters.
