About the role This role is pivotal in managing our industry-leading early intervention and injury management programme. You will also play a key role in coaching and developing Bunge’s management team to strengthen early intervention practices across the business. In this position you will be managing the end-to-end process of all workers compensation claims which are conducted in-house. Within South Australia, Bunge works under a self-insured model, and partners with claims agents in other jurisdictions. As the leader of our injury management function across Australia and New Zealand and with the support of a dedicated Return-to-Work Coordinator, you will champion the way injured employees are supported throughout their recovery and return to work, ensuring the best possible outcomes for both our people and our organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Injury Manager to join our Health and Safety team and make a meaningful impact in a highly visible, influential role. Duties Manage the early intervention and claims management process with effective strategies for injury assessment, treatment and return to work Engage managers and supervisors across the business to ensure positive return to work outcomes for injured employees Manage the rehabilitation process for our injured employees Manage dispute resolution processes Monitor legislation and update workers’ compensation processes Manage the Return-to-work coordinator/Safety administrator Manage the external audit process for the injury management system Managing claims determinations from end to end About you Motivational and innovative approach to injury management Empathetic and resilient nature Effective communicator with strong influencing skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to manage complex or high-risk claims Previous experience in a similar role within a self-insured environment Extensive knowledge of the South Australian Return to Work Act and Self-Insurance requirements in South Australia, knowledge of workers compensation requirement across other states and New Zealand About us Bunge connects farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
