Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits Adelaide SA, 5000 Will be required to work at multiple public hospitals within Adelaide Full Time, Permanent Role About the role As the Senior Technical Officer – Quality Assurance/Quality Control , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring SA Pharmacy manufacturing services consistently deliver high-quality, safe and compliant pharmaceutical products to customers and consumers. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of professional and non-professional staff, you will coordinate and provide quality control activities across defined SA Pharmacy sites, safeguarding the integrity of hospital-manufactured therapeutic goods and broader pharmacy services. In this leadership-focused position, you will oversee and train staff and students within the Quality Control Service, embedding best practice in quality assurance and compliance. You will ensure all activities involving pharmacy-manufactured goods align with the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice and meet regulatory requirements under the Therapeutic Goods Act and, where applicable, NATA accreditation standards. You will also provide expert support to other pharmacy areas, strengthening accountability and governance in medication management while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence. About You You are an experienced quality professional with strong technical capability in regulated laboratory environments and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems. With a proactive and organised approach, you bring leadership, analytical expertise and a commitment to compliance, safety and continuous improvement within complex manufacturing settings. Qualifications & Technical Expertise – Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical discipline, with extensive experience in Microbiology and/or Analytical Chemistry Quality Assurance/Control laboratories. Demonstrated experience working in regulated laboratory environments with direct involvement in Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities. GMP & Regulatory Knowledge – Extensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles and the requirements of the Therapeutic Goods Act and NATA accreditation standards. Skilled in clean room operations, quarantine processes for raw materials, post-production release procedures, and the preparation of high-quality documentation compliant with CGMP, TGA and NATA requirements. Leadership, Planning & Problem Solving – Proven ability to train, organise and supervise professional and non-professional staff. Capable of initiating, planning and implementing procedures, solving complex problems and analysing issues to develop practical solutions. Self-motivated, thorough and able to set and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality. Communication, Collaboration & Governance – Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build cooperative relationships across Quality Assurance/Control and production teams.
