Culture & Benefits Senior, permanent opportunity within a well-established Australian retailer Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 package Melbourne-based head office role Opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future structure of the planning team Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end merchandise planning process for a large, high-volume category Manage Open-to-Buy and seasonal stock plans, ensuring strong sales and margin outcomes Analyse category and product performance, identifying risks and opportunities early Make clear recommendations around markdowns, promotions and stock movement Partner closely with Buying to influence range, pricing and promotional strategy Prepare and present trading updates, forecasts and insights to senior stakeholders Coach and support merchandise planners within the team, lifting overall capability What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Merchandise Planner or Senior Merchandise Planner within retail Background in high-SKU, fast-paced environments (hard goods ideal, fashion also considered) Strong experience managing MSSI/WSSI and Open-to-Buy Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets) Confident communicator who can present, influence and push back when required Resilient, commercial and collaborative personality - this role suits planners who thrive in direct, high-energy teams Experience with systems such as Apparel21, SAP or PowerBI is advantageous, but training can be provided APPLY NOW Or contact Charlie at for a confidential discussion.
