Sydney Asset Management Permanent Are you an experienced Fund Accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join our client’s growing team in Sydney. This full-time role will see you providing high-quality accounting and reporting support to their alternative investment fund clients. What you’ll be doing : Prepare and review daily, monthly, and annual financial reports and statements for alternative investment funds Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion Liaise with fund managers, administrators, and other stakeholders to obtain information and resolve issues Assist with the implementation of new funds, including setting up accounting systems and processes Mentor and guide more junior team members, sharing your expertise and helping them develop their skills Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and accounting standards, implementing changes as needed Support the preparation of client presentations and respond to ad-hoc requests What we’re looking for 5 years of experience in a fund accounting or similar role, ideally within the alternative investments sector Thorough understanding of fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels Experience in supervising and developing more junior team members Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field In addition to a competitive salary,they offer a range of benefits including: • Flexible working arrangements • Professional development opportunities • Ongoing training and mentoring • Access to wellbeing initiatives and mental health support
