Position: Architectural Draftsperson Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Minto NSW 2566 Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join their team located in Minto, Sydney New South Wales. Key Responsibilities: ·Assist in the construction and drafting of the Proposed Workshop Expansion Project ·Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment and conventional drafting stations to produce designs, working drawings, charts, and records ·Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents to determine their impact on architectural designs ·Coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs, determining the best methods to represent building plans graphically ·Develop detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specification sheets ·Plan and layout interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using CAD software ·Collect and compile data necessary for completing architectural designs; conduct job site visits to gather measurements as needed ·Monitor daily schedules and track the progress of ongoing and completed jobs ·Conduct daily toolbox meetings with the team prior to production operations ·Record production and engineering meeting minutes ·Track workshop attendance and monitor active job cards for custom builds and repairs ·Conduct job analysis, evaluating time and labor costs for both custom builds and repairs ·Ensure compliance with Work Health Safety (WHS) regulations in the workshop ·Assist with stock take preparations for painting materials, steel, and other consumables ·Prepare parts for trailer assembly and organize them by job in designated trolleys ·Report directly to top management and perform other tasks as assigned by management Relevant skills and experience: Qualifications: ·Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a related field Experience ·Minimum of six (6) years of experience as an architectural draftsperson ·Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard drafting and modelling software ·Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and materials ·Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings ·Effective communication and teamwork skills ·Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
