Our client is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Planning and Assessment Officer to join their team on a temporary 6-month basis. About the Role As a Planning and Assessment Officer, you will support the assessment and review of a wide range of applications, referrals, and general planning enquiries. These submissions come from applicants, Local Governments, and other key stakeholders. You’ll use a variety of internal systems and information sources to research, analyse and prepare high‑quality responses that ensure planning and network requirements are met. Key Responsibilities Assess, review, and respond to planning applications and referrals Provide clear, informed advice on planning-related enquiries Undertake detailed research and analysis using multiple systems and datasets Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment processes Essential Skills & Experience We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate: Strong research, analysis, and problem‑solving capabilities Ability to build and enhance stakeholder relationships Understanding of traffic and transport planning policies and relevant systems Desirable Qualifications & Experience Working towards or completion of a Diploma in Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline Previous public sector experience This is a great opportunity in transport planning within a supportive and collaborative environment.
