We are now seeking a motivated and passionate Cook to join our professional kitchen team. Position Overview: As a Cook at Yuk Gam, you will play an important role in preparing and delivering high-quality Korean dishes. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure all meals are prepared to the highest standard, while maintaining food safety, efficiency, and consistency. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present Korean dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and standards Ensure all meals are produced efficiently, consistently, and to a high-quality standard Comply with food safety and hygiene requirements in line with health regulations Assist with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering Cater to special dietary requirements and allergy-related requests Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation at all times Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure quality and freshness of ingredients Support senior chefs with preparation tasks and menu development Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment Skills and Qualifications Required: Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and solid knife skills Familiarity with Korean cuisine and a passion for authentic flavours Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Availability to work evenings, weekends, and across a 7-day rotating roster
