West Footscray | Temporary Full-Time ASAP to 30th April 2026 $51.39 per hour super | 38 hours per week Chandler Macleod is recruiting a School Crossing & Local Laws Permit Officer on behalf of a public-sector organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring child safety, operational continuity and compliance across school crossings within the municipality. Key responsibilities Manning school crossings and assisting children to and from school Coordinating casual staff cover for absences via recruitment agencies Preparing weekly rosters for School Crossing Supervisors Processing timesheets and leave forms Managing and understanding Council Local Laws permits and processes Responding to issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Skills & experience Strong administration skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (spreadsheets essential) Fast and accurate typing skills Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to remain calm, organised and decisive under pressure Requirements Current Victorian Driver’s Licence Current Working with Children Check Ability to meet the physical and operational demands of the role What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate: $51.39 super Full-time hours with rostered day off Meaningful role contributing to community and child safety Local government experience with ongoing support from Chandler Macleod Apply now to be considered.
