Our client, Kraftur Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their maintenance team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of diesel-powered vehicles, plant and heavy machinery used across our operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and passionate about ensuring equipment reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines, fuel systems, transmissions, hydraulics, steering, suspension, and braking systems. Service, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles, trucks, and construction plant equipment to ensure reliability and minimal downtime. Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections based on manufacturer guidelines and site requirements. Remove, dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and major components, including clutches, gearboxes, differentials, and hydraulic systems. Conduct post-repair testing, adjustments, and quality checks to ensure equipment is safe and operating efficiently. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate service reports, job cards, and maintenance records, including parts used and work completed. Follow workplace safety procedures, compliance standards, and company policies at all times. Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams regarding repair schedules, breakdowns, and urgent maintenance needs.
