About the Business: PAI THAI is a modern Thai restaurant located in Burwood, Melbourne. We specialise in authentic Thai cuisine and contemporary Thai fusion dishes, offering a diverse menu that includes curries, stir-fries, noodles, grilled dishes, and Thai-style beverages. Our restaurant serves lunch, dinner, and drinks, and is known for its vibrant atmosphere and consistent food quality. Due to business growth, we are seeking an experienced full-time Cook to join our kitchen team. About the Role: The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Thai dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen hygiene. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a range of Thai dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards Assist with the preparation of sauces, curry pastes, and ingredients Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation Monitor food quality during preparation and service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times Assist with stock control and ordering supplies Work efficiently during busy service periods Support other kitchen staff as required Qualifications and Experience At least AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent At least one year of full-time experience as a Cook (or equivalent part-time experience) Experience in Thai or Asian cuisine preferred Essential Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards Knowledge of cooking techniques such as stir-frying, grilling, steaming, and deep-frying Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills We can offer Competitive salary of $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation Stable full-time employment Friendly and supportive team environment Opportunity to work in a modern Thai restaurant How to apply: Please send your resume to: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
