Safety Business Partner $70.48 per hour super | 3-month parental leave cover Chandler Macleod is partnering with a large public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Safety Business Partner for a 3-month parental leave contract . This senior OHS role is ideal for a safety professional who thrives on influencing leaders, driving compliance, and embedding a strong safety culture. About the Role Reporting into a senior People & Safety function, you will provide expert OHS advice and partner closely with leaders across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in strengthening safety systems, managing risk, and coaching leaders to integrate safety into everyday operations. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on OHS legislation, policies and safety management systems Partner with leaders to drive safety strategy, metrics and performance outcomes Lead workplace incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk and psychosocial assessments Design and deliver safety training, awareness and wellbeing initiatives Monitor compliance with Victorian OHS legislation and standards Engage with regulators, service providers and key stakeholders Skills & Experience Degree or Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline 5–7 years’ experience in a senior OHS or Safety Business Partner role Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and compliance frameworks Proven experience influencing leaders and driving cultural change Solid incident investigation and risk management capability Local government experience highly regarded Requirements Victorian Driver’s Licence Ability to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check What’s On Offer $70.48 per hour super 3-month contract (parental leave cover) Hybrid working environment Immediate start opportunity
