Position: General Motor Mechanic Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Mitchell ACT 2911 Our client Everyday Auto is an automotive service and repair business based in Canberra, ACT, providing mechanical servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for light motor vehicles. Due to ongoing business growth and difficulty in sourcing suitably qualified local candidates, Everyday Auto is seeking to employ a skilled General Motor Mechanic on a full-time basis. The General Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing light motor vehicles. This is a genuine, full-time position requiring relevant trade qualifications and a minimum of three (3) years experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical systems ·Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance on light motor vehicles ·Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify required repairs and parts ·Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues ·Repair or replace defective components in accordance with manufacturer specifications ·Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety requirements ·Maintain accurate service records and job documentation ·Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures ·Work cooperatively with other workshop staff to meet operational demands. Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential Requirements: ·Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification ·Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic ·Demonstrated experience working on light motor vehicles ·Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills ·Ability to work independently and as part of a team ·Current Australian driver’s licence (or ability to obtain) Employment Conditions ·Full-time, ongoing position with Everyday Auto ·Salary range of $70,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience ·Position is genuine, available, and ongoing within the business ·Terms and conditions are in accordance with Australian workplace laws and market salary rates
