Our client, MCPBB Pty Ltd trading as Platinum Cabinets & Stone, is currently seeking experienced Cabinetmakers to join their growing team. The company is a trusted local provider with decades of combined experience in the fabrication and installation of high-end custom cabinetry and stone products, including cabinets, closets, vanities, entertainment units, and countertops. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for crafting custom cabinetry and components based on client specifications, ensuring precision, quality, and functionality. Key Responsibilities: Examine drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine specifications Select and work with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, and synthetic wood Mark out, cut, and shape wood using hand tools and machinery Manufacture furniture and cabinetry from drawings and specifications Assemble components to form furniture sections and finished articles Fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and other hardware Install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, and drawer pulls using hand tools Make frames for furniture such as chairs and couches where required Reinforce joints using nails, screws, or other fasteners prior to finishing Perform final touch-ups using sandpaper or steel wool Apply protective or decorative finishes by dipping, brushing, or spraying (e.g. stain, varnish, paint, or lacquer) Program and operate computer-controlled machinery as required Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety requirements Qualifications Relevant experience or qualifications for a similar role Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Australian Citizens & Permanent Residents only Salary offered: $76,000 - $81,000 AUD
