Reportiong to the Head of Legal – Privacy & Regulatory, this role will suit candidates with c6 years experience across privacy law, (ideally with a regulatory background), technology, compliance and risk management experience. In-house IT Lawyer within a brand-name Australian Icon and leader of the first tech wave . The role will suit a 3-7 year lawyer with a top 20 firm or ASX background and will involve the review, drafting and and negotiation of commercial agreements including partner, IT/software, service and marketing contracts, as well as day-to-day advice on privacy, consumer competition and intellectual property matters. Reporting to the Head of Legal, there will be significant interface with the Product, Strategy, Marketing, Sales and AI teams. Package of up to 196K plus bonus. Working across acquisition, licensing and/or supply of large-scale hardware, government procurement, data protection, privacy and cyber-security, government procurement and brand protection and digital rights management. Senior Associate IP/IT Lawyer in the mid-tier covering intellectual property commercialisation and licensing, including technology commercialisation agreements, patent licensing and plant variety licensing, joint ventures and other commercialisation structures as well as IT and technology contracts, including technology procurement and project agreements, SaaS agreements, software licensing and support agreements and technology outsourcing agreements. Some IP disputes work is also available pending candidate interest and expertise Top Tier client – Band 1 TMT practice group looking for a high-calibre Associate or Senior Associate IT Lawyer to join either the Melbourne or Sydney team.
