About this Opportunity We are looking for an energised, talented and passionate Property Services Assistant – General Hand to join the Redlands team. The Property Services Assistant – General Hand is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Property Services team. This role includes completing maintenance tasks, repairs, event setups, and various installation works. Key duties involve responding to maintenance requests, managing work orders through the Computerised Maintenance Management System and assisting with risk mitigation and hazard reduction. About You We are seeking a proactive and reliable Property Services Assistant – General Hand to support the daily operations of our Property Services team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage maintenance tasks using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Successful applicants will have the following knowledge, experience and skills: • Previous experience as a Property Services Assistant/General Hand or similar • Experience in general building maintenance; • Excellent communication skills with a friendly approachable demeanour; • Ability to work independently or as part of team • Ability to operate in fast paced environment • Ability to undertake manual labour tasks and operate machinery • Sound knowledge of WHS and compliance requirements; • Proficient use of mobile technology and systems • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) • Reasonable level of physical fitness • Valid NSW Drivers Licence Desirable / preferable • Previous experience as a Property Services Assistant or similar • Previous experience within a school environment • Experience working with third-party providers • Previous experience using a CMMS or similar. Successful applicants will demonstrate the following competencies: • Technical Proficiency: Ability to perform general maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations with a solid understanding of tools, equipment, and systems like CMMS and AssetWhere. • Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of diagnosing issues, finding solutions, and responding efficiently to maintenance requests and repairs. • Attention to Detail: Ensures that all tasks, from maintenance to event setups, are completed accurately and to a high standard. • Time Management: Manages time effectively to complete multiple tasks and respond to ad hoc requests within deadlines. • Communication Skills: Clearly communicates with team members, stakeholders, and customers, providing updates and following up on maintenance issues as needed. • Teamwork: Works collaboratively with the Property Services team to support daily operations and achieve common goals. • Customer Service Orientation: Prioritises and responds promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. • Adaptability: Able to handle a variety of tasks and adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment. • Risk Awareness and Safety: Understands and adheres to safety protocols, contributing to risk mitigation and hazard reduction on the property. • Dependability: Reliable and responsible, consistently meeting job requirements and team expectations.
