In this role, you’ll deliver high quality training and assessment to students pursuing maritime qualifications, helping build the capability and safety of Australia’s future seafarers. You will use your industry expertise to create engaging, practical, and compliant learning experiences across a range of maritime programs. Working within TAFE’s standards and regulatory frameworks, you will support learners to develop strong technical skills, seaworthiness, and confidence in real‑world maritime environments. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging training in maritime operations, safety, vessel handling, navigation, and associated skill sets Conduct competency based assessments in line with industry and regulatory requirements Support diverse learners through inclusive and practical teaching approaches Maintain accurate training and assessment documentation Contribute to continuous improvement of maritime teaching resources, simulations, and delivery methods About You: Relevant maritime qualifications and current or recent industry experience within the maritime sector Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain Strong communication skills and a commitment to learner success A dedication to maritime safety, professionalism, and high‑quality training About us SWTAFE is the leading vocational education provider in South West Victoria.
