Our Deflector Mine Site recently transitioned to Owner-Operator, and we are seeking an experienced Service Crew Operator. Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits. Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor , the Service Crew Operator is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient installation and maintenance of underground services, including ventilation, water, paste, and power infrastructure. The role supports the achievement of production and development targets, working in strict compliance with Vault Minerals' operational procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This position will be offered on a 14:14 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton. Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include: Install and maintain underground services including ventilation ducting, poly and steel pipes, electrical services, and paste lines Assist with scheduled inspections, servicing, and troubleshooting of underground services Operate underground service vehicles including Integrated Tool Carriers and Elevated Work Platforms Conduct minor maintenance on services infrastructure as authorised Monitor service system performance and report issues promptly Support the achievement of production goals by maintaining service infrastructure to minimise downtime Assist surface infrastructure and supply crews when required Complete relevant service crew documentation and shift reports accurately Maximise return on assets through effective utilisation, care, and security of equipment and tools Maintain compliance with Vault Minerals’ isolation and lockout/tagout procedures Assist in other operational activities as required by Supervisors About You: Completion of Year 10 education Minimum 1 year experience in underground service crew operations Proven experience operating EWP and ITC machinery Practical understanding of underground ventilation systems Knowledge of underground pipework and services installation Ability to follow Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) Required Certifications: WA Manual Driver’s Licence (C-Class) Senior First Aid Certificate Nationally recognised Working at Heights Certification Level 1 & Level 2 Isolation Training (Site Inducted) WA Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) What We Offer Competitive salary Long-term incentive plans Paid Parental Leave Paywise offers the following employee benefits to Vault Minerals employees: Novated Lease Vehicles Trade Tools FIFO Travel Portable Electronic Devices Self-Education Airport Lounge Membership Our Recruitment Process As part of our recruitment process, we require a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and a National Police Clearance.
