The Role The Mould Room Fitter will be a part of a team working for the Glass Manufacturing Plant. You will utilise your trade and other skills to perform routine maintenance on Glass forming mould gear/tooling used in the high-speed Glass blowing process. Although this role does require some flexibility it is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday. Shift coverage from time to time may be required. This role will be very autonomous and, varied, so, we are seeking someone who enjoys new challenges and managing their own time with a variety of tasks. Key Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, gauge and repair all Mould Gear components as required Manual and CNC machining work on mould gear Respond to production quality/performance issues as required Conduct routine preventative maintenance Process collection, clean and repair of mould gear Preparation of gear for Job Change teams Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained Other duties as directed by the Mouldroom Leader About You Trade Qualification – Toolmaker or Maintenance Fitter & Turner Have a high attention to detail and eye for quality Experience in precise mould/tooling maintenance CNC & Manual machining experience preferable but not essential MIG, TIG and Oxy welding experience preferable but not essential Capacity to work autonomously Flexibility in working hours Strong safety focus In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, have a high level of initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude.
