This role is open to applicants who identify as Aboriginal. KARI Ltd is seeking full-time Aboriginal Caseworkers - Permanency Support Program (PSP) to be based in Liverpool, NSW . This is an office and community-based role and is not hybrid . You will be present in the Liverpool office and working directly with children, carers, and families (especially during your 6-month probation period ). More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing a caseload of Aboriginal children and young people in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) Developing and implementing culturally responsive care plans in partnership with carers, families, and key stakeholders Maintaining consistent contact with children, young people, and carers Supervising family time and supporting safe, culturally appropriate pathways Preparing statutory documentation and reports, including S149 and S163 Working collaboratively with DCJ and other stakeholders to support safe outcomes Participating in an on-call roster (post-probation) with allowance Travelling across Liverpool and the surrounding metro areas as required What You Bring to the Table To qualify, you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in OOHC, child protection, or a related case management role and hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Knowledge of NSW child protection and OOHC frameworks Experience supporting Aboriginal children, families, and communities Confidence working with families experiencing complex challenges Strong documentation and report writing capability Ability to balance cultural integrity with statutory and organisational requirements Experience applying case management skills within aged care, disability services, family support, or supervised contact and transport environments As our ideal candidate, you will be culturally grounded , community-minded, and trauma-informed.
