Key responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities of the Motor Mechanic Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain approval prior to commencing work Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems and automotive vehicles. Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components. Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts. Assembling and installing mechanical components. Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups. Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection. Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist. Requirements - Certificate/Diploma in Automotive with previous experience of 1 years in a fast-paced environment. Able to work well with team, and also independently. Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends Good organizational and communication skills Permanent Residents or citizens of Australia will be preferred.
