The company Our client located in Smithfield is a manufacturer of producing structural steel chassis. They are Australia’s largest owned and operated building solutions delivering across education, mining, government amenities and housing accommodations. They are currently looking for an experienced Spray/Industrial Painter to work at their manufacturing site across a min of 40hrs per week. What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate of between $45/hr – $50/hr Potential for overtime work 6am – 2:30pm or 6am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday Working across 40-50hrs per week This role transitions to a permanent position after 6 months casual Responsibilities Paint the interiors and exteriors of buildings as required Organise all painting works Supervision of painting related labour Liaising with procurement to order correct paint and painting supplies Ensure QA process is implemented and all records kept up to date. Operate forklift or crane if / as required Prepare surfaces and mix paints for different needs as per design plans Work with other trades such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers Protect all nearby surfaces and building materials before and during every painting job Follow all HSEQ policies and procedures at all times Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within individual work areas Carry out tasks from plans, sketches and drawings in conjunction with appropriate written or verbal instructions Essential requirement Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial painter or spray painter Current Construction White Card Knowledge of surface preparation techniques Ability to operate spray guns and coating equipment Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions Knowledge of paint mixing ratios and curing times Good work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to commit long-term and grow in the business Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Reliable transportation If you believe you are the right fit for this opportunity, hit apply now!
