This role is perfect for a culinary professional with a passion for Indian cuisine, bringing at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. The position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year, plus superannuation. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Menu Development and Planning: Design and plan a diverse menu featuring authentic Indian cuisine, catering to a wide range of customers and seasonal preferences. - Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian dishes, ensuring all meals meet Sam’s Indian Cuisine’s high standards and follow proper hygiene and food safety practices. - Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of each dish, ensuring consistency in presentation, taste, and freshness. - Inventory and Stock Management: Oversee ingredient stocks, monitor freshness, and coordinate orders to keep the kitchen well-stocked and reduce food waste. - Cost Management and Waste Reduction: Manage kitchen operations with an emphasis on cost control, analysing recipes and adjusting ingredient usage to ensure budget adherence. - Kitchen Supervision: Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring compliance with kitchen safety protocols. - Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to gather feedback and incorporate suggestions, enhancing customer satisfaction. - Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and safe, following industry hygiene standards. Qualifications: - Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience. Experience Requirement: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a chef, ideally with a focus on Indian cuisine.
