Due to ongoing business development, we are seeking an experienced and capable Retail Manager (General) to oversee store operations and lead our retail team. Role Overview This full-time position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the retail store, ensuring strong sales performance, effective staff supervision, stock control, and high customer service standards. The successful candidate will be confident in leading a team, monitoring financial performance, and maintaining efficient retail operations in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Plan, organise and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery Monitor sales performance, establish revenue targets, and implement strategies to improve profitability Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels, and inventory systems to maintain optimal stock availability Analyse sales reports, margins, and financial data to identify trends and improve business outcomes Recruit, train, supervise and roster retail staff to maintain productivity and service standards Ensure high levels of customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving complaints professionally Oversee merchandising, promotional displays, and store presentation to maximise sales opportunities Ensure compliance with company policies, Australian Consumer Law, and workplace health and safety requirements Liaise with suppliers and negotiate purchasing arrangements to maintain competitive pricing and supply continuity Monitor operational costs and manage store budgets in line with business objectives Required Skills & Experience·At least 2 years’ experience in a retail supervisory or management role Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience) Strong leadership and team management skills Demonstrated ability to manage sales targets, budgets, and financial reporting Sound understanding of stock control, purchasing, and inventory management systems Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment Benefits Successful candidates can expect a competitive remuneration package of AU$77,000 to AU$80,000 per annum plus superannuation, for a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week).
