You will deliver trauma-informed, child-centred support, including informal counselling and resource- based guidance, to help young people build resilience and achieve their mental health goals. You will develop strong rapport with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, working collaboratively with families, carers and relevant support services to ensure holistic care. Your work will include delivering professional casework that aligns with service agreements, best practice standards and organisational policies, while facilitating referrals to appropriate supports. You will also demonstrate leadership in group activities and events that promote positive mental health and contribute to a supportive program culture through supervision, case reviews and teamwork. About You You are a compassionate and motivated professional with a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Psychology, Youth Work, Occupational Therapy, Social Services) and experience supporting children and young people experiencing, or at risk of, mental health issues. You bring a strong understanding of child development, family functioning and trauma-informed practice. You are confident working with families experiencing complex challenges, and you demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity, including an understanding of intergenerational trauma and its impacts on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. You build trust quickly through genuine care, empathy and effective engagement. You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and you bring enthusiasm and innovation to program delivery, resource development and engagement strategies. Strong administrative skills and computer literacy support your ability to deliver high-quality documentation and outcomes. You are open to feedback, reflective in your practice and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
