We work closely with engineers, architects, and owner builders to achieve high-quality, precision-built outcomes. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our experienced team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, fabricating, repairing, and assembling architectural and structural steel components, as well as carrying out associated welding, finishing, and remedial works. Your craftsmanship will support the delivery of durable, structurally sound, and visually consistent outcomes across a wide range of projects. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Reading and interpreting detailed architectural and engineering drawings to fabricate custom metal components to exact specifications. Measuring, selecting, and preparing steel and other metals to support high-quality fabrication outcomes. Cutting metal materials accurately using workshop machinery and hand tools to suit complex and bespoke designs. Forming and shaping metal sections through bending, rolling, and heat treatment to achieve architectural design intent. Assembling and aligning fabricated components with precision to ensure structural integrity and visual consistency. Performing high-standard welding on architectural and structural steel using appropriate techniques to meet project requirements. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and installers to ensure fabrication aligns with design, buildability, and installation needs. Inspecting welded assemblies to verify strength, finish quality, and compliance with company and project standards. Completing finishing works such as grinding, polishing, and surface preparation to achieve premium aesthetic results. Taking ownership of assigned projects by maintaining a safe, organised workspace and contributing to SteelOx Pty Ltd's commitment to excellence and craftsmanship. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications. A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role. Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural and engineering drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble custom metal components. Strong understanding of steel and metal fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, welding, and finishing techniques to achieve structurally sound and high-quality outcomes. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varying site conditions. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $75,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
