General Practitioner (Part-Time / Seasonal) We are seeking salaried part-time or seasonal General Practitioners to join the team in Katoomba, working flexible hours within a collaborative youth mental health setting. This operates under a holistic, multidisciplinary model of care, supporting young people aged 12–25. At headspace Katoomba, you will work alongside experienced youth health professionals including psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, dietitians, mental health clinicians and nurse practitioners. Funded by the Australian Government under the National Youth Mental Health Initiative, headspace has been improving access to early intervention services since 2006. Provide high-quality GP assessments for young people presenting with physical and mental health concerns Conduct history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referrals as appropriate Develop Mental Health Care Plans to support internal referrals, Psychiatry and Allied Health services Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated care Support young people in accessing sexual health, alcohol and other drug services, and preventative health care Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework Access clinical supervision from the Clinical Manager Be fully supported by an experienced administration team This role offers meaningful, youth-focused clinical practice in a supportive and well-structured environment.
